Let’s see who make up the Upper Valley Autism Resource Centre Inc.

Introducing our Board of Directors and Members.

Hello, my name is Cathy Adams and I have been the Executive Director of the Upper Valley Autism Resource Centre Inc. since 2017. I applied for the position to learn more about ASD and be available to help provide activities, events, learning/social programs for individuals, autism families/caregivers, and provide more understanding and acceptance within the communities who we support. I have met many amazing individuals of all ages and I am very exciting in providing more opportunities in the future.

Hello, My name is Cathy Adams and I have been the Executive Director of the Upper Valley Autism Resource Centre since 2017. When I applied for the position I wanted to learn more about ASD and be available to help others. By providing activities, events, learning/social programs for individuals, autism families/caregivers, and teach others to be more understanding and accepting of our autism communities within our support areas between Grand Falls-Woodstock/Nackawic and surrounding communities. I am also the mother of a teen with autism and a published author/illustrator of 6 children’s stories which include Cashew’s Adventures series and a cute series with Penguins.

My name is Patty Brine and I became a Board Member after volunteering during some of UVARC’s community events. I believe the autism resource centre is such a helpful resource for our communities. Many families find support at the centre as they learn more about their child’s abilities and uniqueness. Information, resources, and events, are presented in a positive, inclusive environment. I work with children, and I enjoy learning more about ASD and how I can best help them in their individual successes.

My name is Diane Kinney, and I am a Board Member who loves to help youth and the elderly in my community. I want to raise awareness about autism and share the resources that are available from the Centre located in our little Village of Perth-Andover, NB.

Hi, My name is Rachel Smith, and I am the newest Board Member. I am a caring person who loves to help people. I would like to raise awareness about autism and to share the resources that are available from the Centre.

Hello, my name is Joyce Burgoyne. I have been involved with UVARC for 17 years and on the Board for the majority of that time. I have been the Chairperson for the last 10 years. I have two adult children on the spectrum. I am a RN, so I have cared for children, adults, and seniors on the spectrum. I believe individuals with autism should have the same opportunities as everyone else. In that light, I work hard to advocate for people with autism so they can reach their full potential.
